Kitchenware and serving

This range is built around hosting rather than cooking. Date trays and serving platters, storage jars, water dispensers and the sets that come out when guests arrive make up most of it, which is why it moves hardest through Ramadan and around Eid.

Most of it is inexpensive and bought alongside something else, though the larger sets and dispensers are common as housewarming and wedding gifts. Presentation matters more than durability in this category, so finish and how a piece looks on a table is usually the deciding factor.

Questions and answers

What kitchenware do you stock?
The range covers date trays and serving platters, storage jars, water dispensers and hosting sets. It is aimed at serving and presentation rather than cooking equipment.
What is a date tray?
A date tray is a compartmented serving dish made for presenting dates and dried fruit to guests. They range from simple plastic trays to decorative sets kept for occasions.
Do you sell water dispensers?
Yes, including dispensers sized for serving ZamZam from a larger container. They are commonly bought together with ZamZam after Hajj or Umrah.
Are these suitable for Ramadan?
This is the range most households restock before Ramadan, since date trays, jars and serving sets all see heavy use through the month. Stock moves fastest in the weeks beforehand.
Are the items dishwasher safe?
It varies by material and is stated on the product page where the supplier provides it. Decorative and metallic finishes are generally safer washed by hand.
What makes a good housewarming gift from this range?
A serving set or a quality date tray is the usual choice, since they are used whenever guests come. Pairing one with dates makes it a complete gift rather than an empty dish.
Do you sell sets or single pieces?
Both. Multipacks and matched sets are stocked alongside individual pieces, and what a listing includes is stated in its title or description.
What are the jars for?
Storage jars are used for dates, dried fruit, nuts and sweets, and the decorative ones double as table pieces. Sizes and pack quantities are listed per product.
Can I see the serving pieces in store?
Yes, and it helps for anything decorative, since finish is hard to judge from a photograph. Cii Stores is a physical shop in Ormonde, Johannesburg, with delivery across South Africa.
What does the kitchenware range cost?
Prices run from around R30 for small items and multipacks to roughly R499 for larger sets and dispensers. Most of the range sits at the lower end.
Do you deliver fragile items safely?
Yes, glass and ceramic pieces are packed for transit on the standard delivery service. If something arrives damaged, contact us and we will replace it.
How much is delivery and how long does it take?
Standard shipping is R160 and orders are delivered within 3 to 5 business days. Delivery is free on orders over R1500.
Can I return a kitchenware item?
Yes. Non consumable items can be returned within 7 days in unused, unopened condition and in their original packaging. Please note that sale items are non refundable.
