Ihram clothing
Ihram for men is two unstitched white cloths: the izar wrapped around the lower body and the rida draped over the shoulder. Because nothing is sewn to shape, how the cloth behaves matters, which is why the range covers different weights and finishes rather than one standard set.
Velcro versions add a fastening to the lower cloth so it holds without relying on the wrap alone, which is what most first time pilgrims choose. Belts are stocked alongside, and sets are made in kids sizes as well as adult.

What is included in an ihram set?
A set is the two white cloths: the izar worn around the lower body and the rida over the shoulder. Belts and fastenings are usually sold separately unless a listing states otherwise.
What is the difference between soft and premium ihraam?
It comes down to the weight and finish of the cloth. Premium sets use a denser, better finished towelling that drapes and holds better, while soft sets are lighter and less bulky to pack.
How do I wrap an ihram?
The izar is wrapped around the waist and secured, and the rida is draped over the left shoulder leaving the right exposed during tawaf. Practising the wrap before travelling is strongly worth doing.
What is the ihraam belt for?
The belt holds the lower cloth securely and usually carries pockets for money and documents. It removes the main worry with an unstitched garment, which is it coming loose in a crowd.
Can I wear anything underneath?
Stitched garments are not worn in the state of ihram, which is the point of the unstitched cloths. This is a matter of the rules of ihram rather than of the product, so follow the guidance you are given.
Should I wash ihram before wearing it?
Washing a new set before travelling is common practice and softens the cloth, which makes the wrap sit better. Wash it plain, without scented detergent or fabric softener.
Can I use the same ihram more than once?
Yes, sets are reusable and many people keep one for repeat Umrah trips. Most pilgrims pack a spare, since the cloth is worn in heat and crowds.
