Islamic home and living

This department covers the things that make a house feel like a Muslim home, from wall art and calligraphy to adhan clocks that call the times of salah, prayer mats, tasbeeh and the kitchenware that gets used every day. It is the department people shop most when moving in or setting up a first home.

Because it spans decorative pieces and practical ones, the price range is wide, and much of it is inexpensive enough to buy alongside something else. Larger decor and electronics sit at the top end and are usually bought as gifts.

Questions and answers

What does the home and living department cover?
It brings together Islamic wall art and decor, adhan clocks and electronics, prayer mats, tasbeeh and kitchenware. The common thread is things used in the home rather than worn.
What is an adhan clock?
An adhan clock calculates the five daily prayer times for your location and plays the adhan at each one. Most also show the Hijri date and can be set to a specific city.
Do adhan clocks work for South African prayer times?
Yes, they are set by city or by coordinates, so they can be configured for South African times. The setup method is covered in the instructions supplied with each clock.
What kind of Islamic wall art do you stock?
The decor range covers calligraphy pieces, framed art and wall hangings in a range of sizes. Dimensions are listed on each product page, which is worth checking against your wall before ordering.
What Islamic kitchenware do you sell?
The kitchen range covers serving and tableware suited to entertaining, along with practical items for everyday use. It moves fastest ahead of gatherings and in gifting season.
What is a good gift for a new Muslim home?
A burner with bakhoor, a quality prayer mat or a piece of calligraphy are the usual choices, since they suit any household. Adhan clocks are also popular because they are useful from the first day.
Do you stock digital Quran pens and readers?
Yes, digital Quran pens and similar learning electronics sit in this department alongside the adhan clocks. What each one includes is described on its product page.
How do I choose the right size wall piece?
Measure the wall space first and compare it against the dimensions on the product page, since framed pieces photograph larger than they are. Leaving clear space around a piece usually looks better than filling the wall.
What is the price range in home and living?
The department runs from around R15 for small kitchen items to roughly R1,899 for large decor and electronics. Most of the range sits at the lower end.
Can I see the homeware in store?
Yes, and it is worth it for anything decorative, because scale and finish are hard to judge online. Cii Stores is a physical shop in Ormonde, Johannesburg, and you can also order for delivery across South Africa.
Do you deliver large or fragile items?
Yes, larger decor and electronics ship on the same standard delivery service, packed for transit. If something arrives damaged, contact us and we will sort it out.
How much is delivery and how long does it take?
Standard shipping is R160 and orders are delivered within 3 to 5 business days. Delivery is free on orders over R1500.
Can I return a homeware item?
Yes. Non consumable items can be returned within 7 days in unused, unopened condition and in their original packaging. Please note that sale items are non refundable.
