What is ihram?
Ihram is the state a pilgrim enters for Hajj or Umrah, and for men it is also the name for the two unstitched white cloths worn. Women do not wear a prescribed garment and wear ordinary modest clothing instead.
What do I need to buy for Hajj or Umrah?
The usual list is ihram cloths and a belt for men, comfortable footwear, a compact prayer mat, unscented toiletries, a ZamZam container and a dua guide. Most people also pack a tasbeeh and a miswak.
What size ihram should I get?
Ihram is sold by cloth size rather than by clothing size, and the dimensions are given on the product page. A larger cloth is easier to wrap securely, so err upwards if you are unsure.
What is a velcro ihram?
A velcro ihram has a fastening built into the lower cloth so it holds in place without relying entirely on the wrap. Many first time pilgrims prefer it for exactly that reason.
Why do toiletries need to be unscented?
Using perfumed products is restricted while in the state of ihram, so unscented soap, shampoo and deodorant are what pilgrims pack. Check labels carefully, since many everyday products are lightly fragranced.
What shoes are suitable for ihram?
Footwear worn in ihram should leave the top of the foot uncovered, which is why sandal style shoes are used. Comfort matters more than anything else given the distances walked.
Do you stock ihram for children?

What should I pack for a woman going on Umrah?
Loose, plain, comfortable clothing in light fabrics, with simple scarves, since there is no prescribed garment for women. Unscented toiletries and comfortable footwear matter just as much as they do for men.
