How much smoke does it produce?

Enough to scent a room and to pass clothing through, which is the traditional use. Adding less bakhoor at a time is the way to keep it gentle.

Where is the best place to put it?

On a heatproof surface, away from anything that hangs, and out of reach of children. Charcoal burners get genuinely hot at the base.

Can I move it while it is burning?

Not by the bowl. Let it cool or move it by a heatproof handle if it has one, since the tray holds live charcoal.
