What is a Moroccan thobe?

It is a thobe cut in the Moroccan style, with a round neckline and a long embroidered placket instead of a shirt collar and buttons. It closes with a concealed zip and the body falls loose rather than being tailored close.

How is it different from a Saudi thobe?

A Saudi thobe has a shirt collar, cuffed sleeves and working buttons down the placket, and sits closer to the body. This Moroccan cut has no collar, closes with a hidden zip, and is deliberately looser.

What is the embroidery like?

It runs from the neckline down the centre placket in a Moroccan pattern. On the two tone colourways the thread contrasts with the fabric, and on the plain colourways it is worked in the same shade.

How does it fasten?

A concealed zip runs down the placket, hidden behind the embroidery, so the front stays clean and there are no buttons to work through.

What fabric is it made of?

It is a smooth, breathable woven fabric. It is soft against the skin and holds its drape without needing heavy pressing.

What sizes does it come in?

Lengths run from 52 to 62. The number is the length of the garment in inches measured from the shoulder to the hem, so a 56 is roughly 56 inches long.

How does the sizing fit?

The cut is loose by design, so take your usual length and it will sit comfortably. There is no separate width measurement on this style.

What colours can I get?

There are six colourways: grey, navy and white as plain shades, plus black with navy, navy with sky blue and white with grey, where the embroidery contrasts against the fabric.

Who is it for?

How do I wash it?
